Officiating Technical Support Group (otsg)

The OTSG exists to help promote and improve umpiring within the West Midlands Netball Region. To give all our umpires a pathway for development and umpiring opportunities for those who want to follow this pathway, assisting Counties within the region to do the same at their level and to promote and share good practice. Our commitment is for openness and opportunity for all.

The OTSG promotes officiating in the West Midlands Netball Region. The Group is made up of the Regional Umpiring Secretary (RUS), County Umpiring Secretaries (CUS) and is chaired by a Regional Board Member.

Umpiring Courses

Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Umpiring courses in England are currently suspended. News of courses in the future will be distributed when we know what is happening.
 
England Netball are moving forward with Umpire courses at the Into Officiating and C Award levels. More details will be available as this change progresses.

Umpire Assessments

Again, due to Covid 19 restrictions all Umpire assessments are currently suspended. Those who have already applied for Pre-assessments and Assessments will be notified, once we are back playing Netball, when those will be scheduled. Don’t worry about running out of time, all limits have been extended. Don’t worry about not having a chance to practice the new rules and getting ready again for the assessment, you will be given enough time to get back up to speed. We are here to help you achieve your next level, not hinder you. More details will be released once we are back on court playing full games.
